Multiple sclerosis; blood brain barrier, pericyte physiology stem cells and myelin biology

Primary mouse CNS microvascular pericytes stained for expression of beta actin (green) and alpha smooth muscle actin (red).  The nuclei are stained blue with DAPI.  Primary pericytes are heterogeneous with only a subset expressing the alpha actin phenotype.
