Dr. Alexandros (Alex) C Tselis, M.D., Ph.D., a retired Professor of Neurology at Wayne State University School of Medicine passed away in September of 2022. He was admired for his excellence as a physician, his scholarship, his sense of humor and his warm wonderful personality.  These remarkable qualities were channeled into his teaching style which instilled a passion for Neurology in his students and trainees.

To Honor Dr. Tselis the Department of Neurology is establishing an Educational Endowment. The Endowment will support the educational mission that Alex was dedicated to, which will include yearly symposia on neurovirology and neuroimmunology, as well as support for faculty development, trainee education, and related activities.  It is the hope that this Endowment will safeguard his enduring legacy which was halted prematurely.

An annual Lectureship will be held to actively seek sponsors and private donors, thereby strengthening the fund’s growth and facilitating the establishment of the Endowment.   If you would like to contribute to this worthy cause in honor of Dr. Tselis please see the information provided below.
