Application Process and Contacts

The Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center Neurocritical Care fellowship is an ACGME and UCNS accredited fellowship program. We are part of the San Francisco match. We invite applications from candidates that are completing a residency in neurology, anesthesiology, child neurology, emergency medicine, general surgery, internal medicine, neurosurgery or a fellowship in critical care. Applications are critically evaluated by the division faculty and selected candidates are invited for an interview. Applicants are graded by each of the interviewers in the following major categories:

  • Clinical experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Fostering teamwork and contributing positively to group dynamics
  • Career goals
  • Performance during Residency/Fellowship
  • Candidates penitential towards developing as a clinician-scientist
  • Research interests
