Narrative bio
Ayman Alboudi, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Neurology, Clinical with the epilepsy division. He is a board-certified neurologist with a richly diverse medical background spanning from Syria, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, to the United States. He earned his medical degree from Tishreen University and completed his neurology residency and was chief resident at Al Mouassat and Al Assad University Hospitals in Damascus. He holds the Syrian Board in Neurology and further distinguished himself by earning the UK Neurology Specialty Certificate and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (London). Dr. Alboudi completed his neurology residency training at Staten Island University Hospital/Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, where he served as chief resident and actively participated in the institution's Medical Education track. He later completed a fellowship in epilepsy at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center before joining the Department as a faculty member on July 1, 2025. Dr. Alboudi’s research focuses on epilepsy, autoimmune disorders, neurovascular disorders, and clinical education.
