Narrative Bio
Rohit Marawar, M.D., F.A.E.S. is an epilepsy expert, who is board certified in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology and Director of the Adult Epilepsy Fellowship Program. He obtained his medical school degree from India. He completed his neurology residency training at Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY and went on to complete a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology and epilepsy at University of California, Los Angeles. He was in private practice for 3 years before joining the department in 2016.
Dr. Marawar's areas of interest include epilepsy in older adults and the intersection of epilepsy and dementia.
He directs the weekly Older Adult Multidisciplinary Epilepsy clinic at Detroit Medical Center. This clinic aims to provide comprehensive and personalized epilepsy care to the underserved elderly population.
