Narrative Bio
Dr. Wazim Mohamed is Associate Professor in Neurology. He serves on the Wayne State University faculty as Medical Director of the Neurocritical Care Unit. He is the Director of the Neurocritical Care Fellowship training program at Detroit Medical Center. He is a Neurointensivist and completed his medical training at Kasturba Medical College in Mangalore. He went on to become a neurology resident at Wayne State University. Dr. Mohamed has undergone fellowship training in Neurocritical Care as well as Vascular Neurology at Wayne State University. His interests include prediction models for traumatic brain injury, critical care ultrasonography and multi modality monitoring in neurocritical care. Dr. Mohamed is Associate Program Director of the Neurology Residency program and has a keen interest in medical education and training residents.
