Narrative Bio
Michal Romuald Halon, MD is an Assistant Professor of Neurology here at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Halon is a native Detroiter and completed his Doctor of Medicine degree here at Wayne State University School of Medicine in June of 2019. He completed his Neurology Residency here at Detroit Medical Center in June of 2023 and served as chief resident from 2022-2023. In 2013, he Graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Wayne State University Honor's College where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition & Food Science. He completed a Movement Disorder fellowship here in the Department of Neurology in June of 2024.
Dr. Halon’s is a specialist in the diagnosis and management of patients with various movement disorders including Parkinson’s disease and parkinsonism plus syndromes, tremor, focal and generalized dystonia, Huntington’s disease and other choreas, Tourette’s syndrome, tardive dyskinesia, myoclonus, and other rare disorders associated with abnormal movements.
Dr. Halon is a member of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society and the American Academy of Neurology. He is a Member of the Polish American Congress, Michigan Division, and a member of the American Polish Cultural Society since 2012.
