Narrative Bio
Dr. de Vera is a graduate from the Wayne State University School of Medicine. She is originally from California but is now embracing her newfound love as a Michigander as she transitions from west coast to fresh coast. She enjoys baking cupcakes and stuffing them with cream cheese frosting. She is a plant mom of two plants, one is a yucca plant named "Spike Leaf" and a prickley pear cactus "Neo" named after the main character played by Keanu Reeves from the Matrix. On her days off she likes to build furniture from ikea and eat soup. She is also an avid fan of Harry Potter and would be sorted into the Hufflepuff house. Lastly she is also a dog mom to Bear, a senior 150lb rotweiler from a rescue shelter in Los Angeles.
