Wayne State University's Department of Neurology is home to more than 30 world-class researchers and clinicians who are in the forefront of their field in a broad range of disciplines. Because of the program's strength in both clinical and basic sciences, patients are assured comprehensive, state-of-the-art care.

We evaluate and treat a wide range of neurological conditions, including  multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, headache, stroke, Parkinson's disease, tremors, dystonias, tumors of the nervous system, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's disease), myasthenia gravis, polymyositis, muscular dystrophies, peripheral neuropathies and leukodystrophies. We are the only university-based neurology department in the city of Detroit.
