MRI Investigation in Myelin Tissue Injury in Patients with Alzheimer's Disease

Sponsor: The Albert Goldye Nelson Research Grant

Purpose

The goal of this study is to examine the brain tissue injury occurring in people with memory disorders by performing brain MRI scans. By using new and more advanced brain MRI scanning techniques, we will examine those parts of the brain that are typically affected by memory disorders and compare the scans to healthy individuals. The study will allow us to better understand the disease process in these memory disorders and help us to develop MRI scanning techniques to better follow patients with memory disorders.
